Together, We Make Hope Happen
At House of Help VZW, our vision is rooted in faith and compassion. We believe that every person—regardless of background, circumstance, or ethnicity—deserves the opportunity to overcome life’s challenges and live with dignity, hope, and purpose.
We recognize that hardship often extends beyond what is visible. That’s why we take a holistic approach, addressing not only physical needs but also the emotional well-being. Through mentorship, counseling, empowerment programs, and practical support, we support individuals who feel overlooked or undervalued, helping them rediscover their potential and build stronger, more resilient futures.
At the heart of our programs lies compassion, community, and dignity. We are dedicated to creating safe spaces where healing begins, opportunities grow, and lives are transformed. Together, we strive to break cycles of hardship and inspire lasting hope.
Brief History of House of Help VZW
Where it All Began
House of Help VZW began in 2016, born out of a shared conviction that faith must be lived through compassion. What started as a small community outreach by two families in the city of Hechtel, quickly grew into a mission to restore dignity and hope to the vulnerable.
Formalization & Registration
By September of 2017, House of Help VZW became officially registered in Belgium as a nonprofit organization with BTW no: BE0680.784.404. Located at Koning Boudewijnstraat 41, 3940- Hetchel-Eksel, Belgium- expanding its program to include "Biblical Counselling" and "Food & Clothing Resource Provision" to those in need.
Early Outreach
In the first few years after registration, House of Help VZW focused on providing resources: food & clothing- to hundreds of vulnerable families in the city of Hechtel and it environ.
Despite the COVID pandemic challenges that started in 2019, faith and community partnerships sustained us. We adapted, learned, and continued to serve with resilience and integrity. These encounters deepened its commitment to holistic care—addressing both physical and emotional needs of those in need.
Birth of GIEChurch
Out of a deepening faith journey and growing community, GIEChurch (Grace International Ever-increasing Church) was established, located at Governeur Verwilghensingel 30A, 3500 Hasselt- Belgium.
Its creation reflected House of Help VZW's commitment to nurturing spiritual growth alongside practical outreach. GIEChurch became a place of worship, mentorship, and restoration—where faith inspires service, and service strengthens faith.
Scaling With Impact
Building on years of community engagement, House of Help VZW launched its Missionary Support Initiatives Program: SFP Bible School—empowering individuals and faith leaders dedicated to outreach and missionary assignments within Belgium and beyond.
It also extended its support to students across Belgian universities; most especially the international students who recently moved to Belgium and are in need of practical resources and information to help them understand and adapt to their new community by offering the provision of essential resources: food, clothing, and information on finding accommodation & affordable furniture, alongside information regarding integration into Belgium to help them adapt, belong, and thrive in their new environments.
Today & Beyond
In December 2024, House of Help VZW relocated its main office to Governeur Verwilghensingel 30A, 3500 Hasselt, Belgium—the same premises where GIEChurch is located. This relocation marks an important step in its growth and reflects its commitment to serving the community through both compassion and faith.
Today, House of Help VZW continues to grow—building safe spaces, nurturing hope, and empowering individuals to live with dignity and purpose. Its story is still being written, together with those it serves.

Our Vision
To be a steadfast vessel of hope and compassion for those in need— restoring dignity, and empowering individuals and communities to overcome societal adversities.
We envision a world where compassion fuels action, hope rebuilds lives, and every act of support restores the power of human dignity.
Every act of kindness, every resource shared, and every prayer lifted is a reminder that together, we can reflect Christ’s light in the world.
Our Mission
“Our overall mission is to break cycles of social hardship by fostering empathy-led initiatives and sustainable partnerships that open pathways to opportunity — ensuring no one is left unseen, unheard, or unsupported in communities across Belgium and beyond.”
Our mission is not merely to help, but to stand beside — transforming empathy into lasting change.
We are guided by the following core principles
1. Serving with Compassion:
We believe that empathy and moral conviction are essential to driving meaningful change. Thus, we provide holistic supports in our operations across the communities in Belgium — offering emotional, material, and Christ-like care to the homeless, students, young people, and families experiencing these hardships.
2. Strengthening the Mission Field:
We equip and empower Christian missionaries in Belgium and beyond through practical resource assistance, trainings, and partnership, enabling them serve with resilience and effectiveness creating lasting impacts
3. Cultivate Wholesome Living:
We model Christ’s principles of productive, purposeful, and wholesome living as revealed in Scripture — via GIEChurch — fostering Christ-like growth and personal transformation.
